I created this prop as an assignment for the 1st Year Students at the Futuregames School in Stockholm (http://futuregames.se/) where I had the privilege to be a guest lecturer . It was a 2 week crash course in working with 3D Game Asset Creation using Maya, Substance Painter and UE4. The idea was to create a stylized Power Up prop similar to something you'd see in Overwatch or Fortnite. Through live demos and pre-recorded videos I went through concepting/ideation , low poly/high poly workflow, texturing, asset export/import with UE4, basic material creation workflows, lighting and presentation.
It was a fun experience and the students were great!
